Walk with Nature

It was another gloomy afternoon. Murky clouds were in motion again.

I took my camera and went down the narrow pathway built around the house towards the sitting area.

While I was lingering through the in-house farm, I couldn't stop myself from taking this particular shot.

The view was terrific. The clouds, the trees, and the rice plantations added to the majestic charm. I was standing near a little pond when I captured it.

The Jungle Mirage

I did not shy away from going out of my in-laws house that day. The previous day was very tiring as I had gone out to see Maha Saptami Puja at many places all around Margherita, Assam. I had walked a lot.

On that particular day, I thought of taking a nap during the afternoon. The inert clouds added to the gloominess.

Yet, I got myself up, took my camera and went out the house. This was a decision that made my afternoon engaging.

I took a lot of photos. But this one here, it is just behind the farmland inside my in-laws' house's premises near the southern boundary.

There is a pathway, a plant filled wooden boundary and some other plants and trees all around. This exquisite view made me feel like I was entering a jungle, all thanks to the cloudy atmosphere. So, that's why the name "The Jungle Mirage".

Cloak of Life

It was a lovely sunny day. I went out for a leisurely walk around the Dehing Tea Estate, near Margherita, Assam.

The lush green trees and plants which included coconut trees, tea plantations, etc were beaming with life.

It felt like a cloak protecting me from the hideous smoke monsters, the screeching canon monsters and the fiery ray monster.

I could hear the melodious offering of different birds along with the whooshing sound of wind in intervals.

I felt so relaxed and full of life surrounded by the magnanimous nature's warriors.

Veins

Don't they look like veins in the human body. Yes, that's what they are for our mother earth.

Haiku for the above picture
Made of earth, aren't we?
Rhythmic, throbbing, lively veins
Carry life juice to heart

Division

Life grows on both sides of the division, which makes it beautiful.

The same is applicable with any being. Humans in particular.

Twigs

It was a lovely day during vacation at my in-laws place in Assam, India. The sun had started to fade away into oblivion slowly.

I was just sitting outside the house immersed in the beauty of the lush green surroundings, when I saw the twigs and captured the moment.

Below lines are dedicated to the photo.

Bereft of family
They wait for the occasional visit
Of the feathered friends
